Auditions for The Best Little Whorehouse in Texas coming up May 28, 29 and 30 at the Event Center located behind the theatre at 7:00. The audition will be in three parts: vocals, dance and acting. If you attended the workshop for the audition you know the song and dance steps we would prefer you use for the audition, BUT, you may also bring other songs to sing or other dance-step routines. Shari Azar, our choreographer, will demonstrate/teach the dance steps we would like to see you attempt. The acting portion of the audition will consist of improvisation scenes in pairs or groups. Thursday, the 30th, will be used primarily for call-backs with readings from the script. If Thursday is the only night you can come, that is fine. We’ll go through the same routine as Tuesday and Wednesday, but a segment of time will be used for call-backs. We’d love to see a LOT of new faces, new talent, and of course, all of those regular HLT players. More information? Call me, Jim Walker: 828 692-2698 or Molly Carlin-Folk: 702-0134.
